Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?

To ensure the highest level of personalized treatment, I do not participate in third party insurance . However, I can provide you with a medical receipt that you can submit to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement.

What is the typical format of an outpatient intensive?

An outpatient intensive is designed to accommodate your schedule and preferences. Daily sessions (Monday to Friday) are recommended for 1 to 3 weeks, depending on the severity of symptoms and level of impairment.

What treatment modalities do you provide?

To effectively treat anxiety and OCD, I use a combination of Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). ERP is proven to be the most effective treatment for OCD and involves gradually facing your fears, starting with the least feared and working up to the most challenging. The goal is to resist the urge to engage in compulsions or safety behaviors as you confront each fear. By exposing yourself to your fears and refraining from compulsive actions, you begin to break the cycle of OCD.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps people identify and change negative or unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviors, connecting thoughts, feelings, and actions to improve emotional regulation and coping skills for various mental health conditions, such as anxiety and depression.

What can I expect in our initial meeting?

In our first meeting, we will take the time to get to know each other and determine if we’re a good therapeutic match. Finding a therapist you feel connected to and confident in is a crucial part of the therapeutic process. We will then explore your current symptoms and discuss your therapy goals. Once your goals are established, I will begin formulating a personalized treatment plan.
